Nurturing an abundant mindset.
Do you live your days from a viewpoint of abundance or one of lack or scarcity?
It can be easy to get drawn into negative thoughts and attitudes, perhaps prompted by a particular incident at work, or, especially of late, by watching the news and hearing about the fires and the environmental challenges. Such events can deeply influence us, and we can, often unconsciously, get stuck in a space of negativity, low spirit and even anxiety, which can be tricky to find a way out of.
A mindset of scarcity or gloom can affect our mood, motivation and energy. It may also influence our relationships, our performance at work or our drive to accomplish what we set out to do.
Do you know someone whom you love spending time with because they just make you feel so good and uplifted every time? When someone radiates optimistic energy, they can sweep us up and in and, naturally, we are seeking their company. I believe that we can be that person and that abundance can be part of our life and flow freely – if we let it.
To me, presence and awareness is the key to help us “snap out of it” and switch to a more positive attitude and outlook. Ideally, I’d like to catch myself and turn my thinking around, yet often it is a friend that reminds me to pay attention to my attitude, through word or deeds; it can even be a total stranger, an interaction I observe or simply by taking time out in nature.
Tools such as meditation, writing, grounding and gratitude practices can help us to find the positive aspects in our life so we can align ourselves to more optimistic, happy vibes. If I feel connected and centred, I can observe myself more easily and identify negative thoughts so I can understand them, and turn them around by using positive affirmations or a short mantra.

Abundance in my view is a mindset and an attitude and yes, it may take a little methodical work and application before we come better versed, yet it will pay off. It is all about perspective – I always think back to the sign on the wall of my kinesiologist (now nearly 20 years ago), which said Expect a miracle today.
Mobilise your power and will and choose abundance today. If you would welcome support or guidance, kinesiology is a powerful way to rewire our brain and thinking, Lexi :)
